HELLO I'M BACK

I'M BACK AND I'M READY TO BLOG

As you know I got asked to join the design team at Crafters Companion last week, Well they didn't waste any time getting me started, Thats why I dissappear for a few days, I've never been on a design team before so didn't know what to expect or what was expected of me. The goodies arrived and I freak out, 1) because it is FABULOUS and 2) I realise what I had let myself in for.
The first couple of days I felt sick because I kept thinking I'm not good enough. I've seen so many wonderful crafters on Facebook and blogs and know they are better than me. I spoke to some of my lovely friends on Facebook telling them that I'm so worried that I'm going to let Crafters Companion down. They gave me the courage to just go for it. Well I got there in the end, Thankfully!!!
Next time (if there is a next time) I will have more confidence and do my thing lol

My card for today....

I made this card last night, its a image from Crafters Companion S.W.A.L.K stamps, They are fabulous images. The design is from a sketch design by Emma Goddard, She is fabulous. Love her work. I decided to use shades of lilacs, murberry and pinks.

The card is from Craftwork Cards. I cut papers to make layers and then tore the edges. I used my spellbinder ribbon die and treaded raffia through it.

I stamp my image first and coloured it. When I was happy with it I then cut it out. I ink the edges, and distress the background with distress inks. I ink a dolllie and placed behind the topper

I wrote Happy Birthday and used the Spellbinder die to cut it out. I used Sizzix flourish die and cut out two in different colours, I placed them behind the label

I hope you like my card and Thank you so much for popping over. Please feel free to leave a comment as i love to read them.

Thank you

Wedding card

WEDDING CARD

A wedding card I made for my mums friend

I made this card using 8in x8in Card from Craftwork cards, I distress it with distress inks as I didn't want it to be white, I used silver Glitter Glue to edge the card and White ribbon down one side and across the bottom of the cad.

I used my spellbinder to make a mini book, i distress it and added two hearts and some glitter

I had fun using my new spellbinder dies, They are fabulous. I die cut out glitter card stock for the back layer, Die cue a ribbon layer that I treaded white ribbon through it and added some gems for sparkle, The sentiment is from Ana Griffin and I added some glitter, The white ribbon bow is from Spellbinders and i use a heart to set it of

I had these pearls for some time and decided to use them on the corners and I made a gem heart for the corner, you can see the spider web i usedin the back ground and of course I added some silver Candi from www.craftworkcards.com

I used a fabulous stamp from Kanban, it is so so lovely, I used Tim Holtz distress pens to add colour to the image

I really do hope you like this card, I showed it to a friend and she said "its alright" so I'm not a hundred % sure now, but I know you will be honest and tell me if its good enough to give to the couple.

Thank you so much for popping over and please fell free to leave a comment, I love to read them

Fantastic news

Fantastic news......

I just became a member of the Design Team for Crafters Companion

I'm so excited and frighten. I've never been on a Design Team before, haven't got a clue what I'm doing, but the other members are amazing and have made me feel so welcome. I've seen some of their work and it is out of this world. I hope I don't let them down.
Thank you to all of you who have left me messages and comments on my facebook page, You are all fabulous and it means so much to me.

Ok on with todays post. I made this card for my friends mum birthday. She likes flowers and pink, so this is what I made.

The card is 8in x 8in from Craftwork cards. I covered the front and inside with 8 in card stock from Kanban. I had some stripes of pattern card left over so I layer them up and added Lilac raffia to them

The button wreath is made using The plastic ring that you have left from your double sided tape. I covered it in Pink ribbon and added the buttons with glue. The tag is a chip board one from Craftwork cards. I covered in paper and used distress ink to make it lilac, The stamp is from Kanban, I used Tim Holtz distress pens to colour it very softly. I added some ribbon from Fantastic Ribbon Company. Behind the tag I added a white feather, you can just see the edges.

The roses I made from A collection from Kanban, I added some glitter and dotty ribbon to them. The peel off boarder is from Pinflair. They are fabulous to use.

I added a dollie that I inked up, I didn't want it white as it stood out to much. The candi is from Craftwork Cards and they have the most amazing collection in so many colours

This one is a rose candi and I love them

I made the label with a chipboard from Craftwork cards, I added paper and distress it, added Ribbon and wrote her name using Martha Stewerd Glitter pens

I hope you like my card, It took me all day, Ok most of the day, I did pop on to facebook a couple of times lol.

Thank you for popping over, Please feel free to leave a comment as I love to read them.

Thank you
