Fantastic news

Fantastic news......

I just became a member of the Design Team for Crafters Companion

I'm so excited and frighten. I've never been on a Design Team before, haven't got a clue what I'm doing, but the other members are amazing and have made me feel so welcome. I've seen some of their work and it is out of this world. I hope I don't let them down.
Thank you to all of you who have left me messages and comments on my facebook page, You are all fabulous and it means so much to me.

Ok on with todays post. I made this card for my friends mum birthday. She likes flowers and pink, so this is what I made.

The card is 8in x 8in from Craftwork cards. I covered the front and inside with 8 in card stock from Kanban. I had some stripes of pattern card left over so I layer them up and added Lilac raffia to them

The button wreath is made using The plastic ring that you have left from your double sided tape. I covered it in Pink ribbon and added the buttons with glue. The tag is a chip board one from Craftwork cards. I covered in paper and used distress ink to make it lilac, The stamp is from Kanban, I used Tim Holtz distress pens to colour it very softly. I added some ribbon from Fantastic Ribbon Company. Behind the tag I added a white feather, you can just see the edges.

The roses I made from A collection from Kanban, I added some glitter and dotty ribbon to them. The peel off boarder is from Pinflair. They are fabulous to use.

I added a dollie that I inked up, I didn't want it white as it stood out to much. The candi is from Craftwork Cards and they have the most amazing collection in so many colours

This one is a rose candi and I love them

I made the label with a chipboard from Craftwork cards, I added paper and distress it, added Ribbon and wrote her name using Martha Stewerd Glitter pens

I hope you like my card, It took me all day, Ok most of the day, I did pop on to facebook a couple of times lol.

Thank you for popping over, Please feel free to leave a comment as I love to read them.

Thank you

Back to School

This is a card that I have made for a challenge called "Back To School"

I have used a 8in x 8in card from Craftwork cards. I love these size cards as you can do so much with them. I cut a black card stock to cover the card, I used Dew Drop Brilliant in black, gold and starlite black to make a pattern on the card. The image is a stamp from Crafters companion (paintbox poppets) I coloured it in with Promrker pens

Its a great stamp from Crafters companion, I cut the image out using a spellbinder die

I mounted the image onto black card stock and edge wth black cosmic glue. I used distress ink to age the paper

I used some writing paper and aged it with the distress ink and curled up the edges. I added lace ribbon in cream and black to the edge of the card

This is the mini book i made using a spellbinder die,I added some pearl liquid to it

This is the inside of the book. I wrote the letters of the abc and drew pictures on each page.

The tag i made from a chipboard tag from Craftwork cards. I covered in paper, inked it and wrote the message

This is the inside of the card. I will add a sentiment or verse later when i decide who i'm giving it to.

I made this card from the Rose and Lavender Collection from Kanban. The card stock is so beautiful and the colours are perfect

I used one of the card stock to make the card.

The topper is the lilac rose, I layered it on some lilac paper and used Morning Dew Drops in the corners. I put a white and a pink feather at one corner. I used pink raffia to make a ribbon with some pearl hat pins.

The sentiment is from Anna Griffins, It was blue but I used my promarkers to change it to lilac, I used a die to make the flourish behind it. I used lilac and pink raffia, I made a boarder with it and used spider web behind the label
